The Faculty of Economics in Belgrade belongs to the group of faculties within the University of Belgrade, which is ranked among the best in Central and Eastern Europe. From its foundation in 1937, the Faculty of Economics has successfully connected and harmonized higher education in the field of economics, business management, and statistics with modern requirements of the economy and society, keeping pace with all important achievements in economics.
Since its foundation, at the Faculty of Economics, over 50 thousand students have graduated, over 4 thousand candidates have completed master’s studies, and about 850 candidates have obtained the title of PhD in Economics in more than eight past decades. Today, the Faculty of Economics is the largest and most eminent scientific and educational institution in Southeast Europe, in the field of economics, business management, and statistics, with over 120 teachers and associates, as well as numerous visiting professors from the country and abroad.
The departments are academic organisational units organized around one or more related scientific areas (that include related teaching subjects). Its members are the teachers and associates elected for the corresponding scientific area. The Faculty has the following departments:

- Department for Statistics and Mathematics
Apart from the departments representing academic units, the remaining organisational units of the Faculty are centres, and administrative and professional services.
