University of Pristina, temporary settled in Kosovska Mitrovica

The University of Priština, temporarily located in Kosovska Mitrovica since 2001, was founded in 1970 in Priština. The University has approximately 10,000 students and 1000 employees.

The University comprises ten faculties:

• Faculty of Philosophy – provides study programmes in philosophy, psychology, history, history of art, Serbian language and literature, foreign languages, sociology and pedagogy.

• Faculty of Technical Science – provides academic study courses in the fields of engineering (electrical, computer, mining, technological, mechanical, civil), architecture and environmental protection and occupational safety.

• Faculty of Medical Science – offers study programmes in medicine, dentistry and nursing.

• Faculty of Economy – provides study programmes in business economics and international economics.

• Faculty of Agriculture in Zubin Potok – provides education in the fields of cattle farming, crop production and agro-economics.

• Faculty of Law – provides legal education at all levels of studies.

• Faculty of Science and Mathematics – provides academic study programmes in mathematics, informatics, physics, chemistry, biology and geography.

• Teacher Training Faculty in Leposavić – provides education for teachers and pre-school teachers.

• Faculty for Sports and Physical Education in Leposavić – provides education in the fields of sports and physical education at all levels of studies.

• Faculty of Arts in Zvečan – provides courses in visual arts (including painting, graphics, sculpture, graphic design), as well as acting and music arts (including flute, violin and piano).
